HE-VA CAMBRIDGE ROLLERS

Shatta Board drills home advantage in lighter soils

Reproduced by kind permission of Farming News April 20, 2000

Direct drilling in lighter soils is now possible with Opico's Cambridge rollers, following the introduction of a new spring levelling board addition for the machines.

The hydraulically-operated Shatta Board option sits on front of the rolling assembly for extra levelling and consolidation. It works via a connecting rod system, which transforms the individual coil springs into a spring board (see picture). At the base of each leaf spring is a replaceable flat levelling plate.

The option will fit Opico's Vari-Flex rollers from 5.4m upwards and suits ring sizes of 21 to 24in.
