Direct drilling in lighter soils is now
possible with Opico's Cambridge rollers, following the introduction
of a new spring levelling board addition for the machines.
The hydraulically-operated Shatta Board
option sits on front of the rolling assembly for extra levelling
and consolidation. It works via a connecting rod system, which
transforms the individual coil springs into a spring board (see
picture). At the base of each leaf spring is a replaceable flat
levelling plate.
The option will fit Opico's Vari-Flex rollers
from 5.4m upwards and suits ring sizes of 21 to 24in.
