DRIVE LINE UPGRADE FOR OPICO SEEDERS

A new drive line upgrade for Opico’s Air 8 and Air 16 seeders consists of a toothed drive belt and wide alloy pulleys which replace a circular rubber belt and chain to give more positive precise drive to the seed roller and better agitation.

All the drive shafts have been enlarged and now have bearings rather than bushes. In addition, the ground drive wheel now uses a bearing rather than replaceable bushing.

OPICO say the reason for the changes is to extend the life of the seeders and reduce the need for maintenance. Importantly, the upgraded toothed belt and pulley improves the accuracy of the seeding mechanism .
