The ELHO Sideliner 1620 Automatic can be connected to a round baler or work straight behind the tractor. By baling and wrapping simultaneously time and money is saved not only in the field, but particularly also on the road, the result being only one man and one tractor on the road, control of the round baler remains unchanged. A microprocessor, magnet sensors and proportional valves control the ELHO 1620 Sideliner Automatic. With one push of the AUTO START button the bale wrapper controller does the rest. As soon as the bale touches the loading arm sensor the process starts automatically. The wrap arm with the 750/500mm pre-strecher starts up gently and builds up to speed. The functions are controlled as follows:

1. Position sensors ensure that the film is correctly cut, and that the stretcher unit is in the right position during loading and off loading of the bale.
2. The bale is loaded by two arms which clamp and lift the bale smoothly on to the wrapping table.
3. When loaded the wrapping process begins.
4. If the pre-strecher is out of film, wrapping stops and an error message appears in the display.
5. When the number of wraps is about to be reached the wrapper arms slow down gradually to ensure smooth operation and no film breakage.
6. The Cut and Tie units open and then clamp the film and cut it.
7. The bale is ready for ejection.
