Deck Frame Construction

All welded 1/4-inch steel with X-bracing for maximum strength.

Strongback steel channel rails extend across the deck for added strength.

Gearbox stand bridged with a 3/8 inch steel plate. The lower gearbox backplate is 1/2 inch thick steel and welds securely to the deck reinforcing plate.

3-inch diameter blade bolt access hole assures faster blade replacement and easier access.

8-inch deep 1/4 inch thick Side Bands. The deep Z-formed design increases structural rigidity.

Completely enclosed rear increases mulching action for better shredding of material.

Hitches

Mast features a flexible top link and is designed for Category II and Ill and Category II & Ill Quick Hitch. Mast construction 3 x 3 x 1/4-inch tubular steel.

Pull hitch includes a clevis-type tongue adjustable to tractor drawbar heights. Includes jackshaft and pillow block bearing.

Axles and Wheels

 

Lift models include a single 16-inch diameter, 4-inch wide, 360 degree swivel caster wheel. Hub is ductile cast with two regreasable roller bearings.

Pull models include two 21-inch diameter, 5-1/2 inch wide solid rubber wheels. Hub is ductile cast with two tapered roller bearings and triple lip purging seals.

Caster wheel frame with easy-to-use adjusting link that sets the mowing height.

Power Transmission

Available with a 1-3/8 inch, 6-spline 540 rpm power take-off.

Gearbox continuously rated at 125 hp features high alloy machine cut and heat treated steel gears.

ASAE Category 5 telescoping driveline is fully shielded.

Two-plate slip clutch standard. Four plate clutch optional and recommended for tractor horsepower above 70 and at 540 rpm.

Blade Holder and Blades

Round blade pans standard to protect the drive-train. Blade pan is 3-1/2 inches deep and dynamically balanced.

High strength steel Blade Bars, 4 inches wide, 2-1/2 inches thick. Weld to the pan supported by side gussets.

5/8-inch thick x 5-inch wide free-swinging blades constructed from fine grain steel heat treated to extra hardness.

Blade tip speed is 10,179 fpm at 540 rpm.

Other

Single-row 3/8-inch front deflector chains span the full width and extend down to full depth of the side band. Front deflector chains are standard.

Single-row 3/8-inch rear deflector chains are bolted around the curved rear of the cutter and extend down below the side bands. Rear deflectors are optional, but are required when mowing along roadsides or where people may be present.
